Let me take the example of NSEJS first. The numbers
have swallowed since the first list declared by IAPT to final list declared by
HBCSE. For Example in NSEJS there were 17 students who were not present in the
first list released by IAPT. Out of which some students are last year awardees
which is understood, but rest of the students did not figure out in the first
list released by IAPT. It has done some adjustments and the number of
selections has increased after that. This has been done in a very silent way
and IAPT and HBCSE in tight lipped about this increased no of students. This
has been done in every Olympiad. It is time these people should be taken to
court for doing things at their whims and fancies. There could be reasons for
this.

There could be some deserving candidates who
protested when there were not selected on rechecking it was found that the
mistake was from IAPT.( if you have not protested then you have no chance)

Some students would have selected to oblige some
body.

IAPT and HBCSE have their own different measures
of selecting the candidates after all tests are done.
IAPT and HBCSE are duty bound to come with explanation for
each candidate who wwas not there in the first released by IAPT.
Sir, I have telephoned iapt on 12th jan regarding my result. First of all I asked them about my results which they were not ready to tell, I again asked them then when could I enquire about my result they told me with a terrified voice that we have uploaded the list why are you enquiring now. When I told them that I was waiting for some kind of enquiry from their side he said now nothing can be done he said now I can't check your marks when I insisted he told me yhat necessary correction would be made. I again called them in evening but I was surprised to the kind of answer he gave to me, he said" if you scored above cut off then now nothing could happen your paper has been under consideration but don't expect any good result I wondered that how can an institution like this could respond to a query so biased and prejudiced then he asked me to hold for a second then after 1 minute he said "you have not scored above cut off. I asked them that earlier he had told me that my paper is been under consideration and how he could have checked it(all 3 papers) in just one minute . I asked him to declare my marks in each subject as I have secured 210 in nsec, 196 in nsea, 140 in nsep acc. to their official key which is even higher than the official cut off declared for delhi on their website but he said that he could do nothing now as he can't release another additional list now. At that time, he admitted that my paper has not been evaluated a.d he apologised for same but he asked me to refrain from declaring this thing publicly. I wondered that how could he say like this even when he has told me the whole story. I asked him to please check my paper and release my name if I am eligible. At that he said"we will see" and he turned down the phone. I felt like crying that even my paper has gone well I would not been able to take part any further nobody is there to help me as I am not studying at any coaching centre now I regret that if I had been in anyone then situation would have upturned. I feel helpless, broken and completely shattered now. My roll no. is dl-096-0101. Please help me in this hour of need.

ReplyDelete- Let me correct - 19 not 17 are more than previous list.
- Awardees, when are not allowed to appear in next international olympiad, then why the game of just playing with the examination. And if this is for Astro then also why to confuse with the junior science. The name may be released directly with the roll numbers.
- some of the students have been shown under 40% mark that is 100 marks in the list whereas as per their brochure a minimal cutoff criteria is being washed off, reason unknown may be "discrition".
- above all when the entire list of highest marks and cutoff is given then it is impossible to understand why "Individuals marks are sent to centre i/c.s as per usual practice" and why not here to make this easier for students. Broadly I have not met with any of student getting his marks by center in-charge under the pretext - "not received yet ask iapt" or "busy with exams heading" and then nothing ever. And on approaching iapt they say ask your centre head/coordinator.
- Also because of this students never know about the exactly if he is eligible for 1% state topper or National topper certificate - may be discretion again. I really feel sorry for the students for this.
All this make me feel if I am still alive?

being here is not a simple maths, also clearly shows you must not be in the list. You are simply calculating 40% of 240. Else you would have given your name like I did; also you are not going through all the notes here.
ReplyDeleteIt is not 96 when you see 96 here, ask any student in pain who scored more than 130 and is out of list where cutoff is much less;
Similarily few of the students who here seems to score 96 scored less, that's why it was mentioned here.
Also do not worry I am the one who will be at test centre on 02 Feb. still I am here cos I do feel some injustice has been done.
