States like UP has got lion’s share where states like Rajasthan has very limited seats (17) despite having very stiff competition in Rajasthan.  So for a student appeared for NSEJS from Rajasthan needs min 151 marks where as a student from UP required just 109 Marks to clear the NSEJS.
This disparity is now understood by schools and coaching and taking the advantage of this. One coaching of Kota to increase selections in NSEJS and other Olympiads asking its students to appear for exams from UP to increase chances of selections. They are resorting to illegal ways for doing this. As per rules of IAPT and HBCSE a student should appear from the same place or school where he is registered. But neither IAPT nor HBCSE checking this flaw. Students registered in kota schools are appearing from UP to take advantage of this asymmetry.

To quote the specific example APPEJAY School Noida (center Code UP011) allowing students of Rajasthan to appear from its center. This seems to be dangerous connivance of Coaching and School and IAPT and HBCSE should note of it ASAP.

  1. The referred coaching institute is probably he most dangerous and immoral in the whole coaching industry. It has also been noticed that it is resorting to all possible illegal & immoral practices and can even influence officials to select non-deserving candidates tp represent India. RTI must be filed against this institute. It is even immorally claiming one Mumbai based student to be its student after he won gold in the IJSO-2015 held in Korea.

After all who is watching all this

  2. Nilesh sir, thank you so much for exposing the blatant violation of morality by the said coaching institute. It is teaching its students & parents to resort to such immoral practices without any shame.

The system should be better off by banning this coaching institute

  3. To set an example, IAPT should ban all such students studying in Kota, Rajasthan who chose to write the exam in Noida, U.P. as it is not a correct practice. Some of these students might be deserving but should be banned from writing any IAPT/ HBCSE test in future setting a correct example. This is essential to discourage students from resorting to such wrong practices.

  4. whatever the rules and regulations are put forth by IAPT and HBCSE we respect that but at least they should try to stop this mal-practices taking place in different parts of the country in first stage of selection. And thus end the inequalities among the students who deserves the selection and ban those who try malpractice for their selection.
