You should move your request comparing intake of 40 students in Senior Olympiads with the rest of other factors remaining same. Rather HBCSE calls 40 students where they select 4-5 students where as in InJSO 6 students are selected from 35. Also many of them get parallel selected in Jr Astro too. Hope I was clear to explain the reason to place your request to HBCSE Director. Take the help of Nileshji or your parents. all the best to you, You still did marvelous job man, Its not the matter to get through of left behind but is a matter to asses your self. You still are a winner. Keep this up boy.

For the students who are confused for dates of NTSE and OCSC. NTSE centre would only change in cases of Govt employees getting transferred to that particular place. Instead you may request HBCSE to relieve you for a day or two to appear in NTSE exam at your place on your expanses. they may allow you. But it would be rather fair and better to choose among one, b'cos both the exam needs concentration and consistent labor. I hope this may help you. All the best to you all.
THIS SAME SITUATION WAS MINE PREVIOUS YEAR AND I CHOOSED OCSE AS FOR ME IT WAS MORE PRESTIGIOUS THEN NTSE BECAUSE IN NTSE IT WAS JUST SCHOLARSHIP WHEREAS IN OCSE IT WAS INTERACTION WITH TOP PROFESSORS OF INDIA AND BEST TEACHERS AND COMPANY OF TOP 35 NATIONWIDE STUDENTS
the cutoff is 40.5 and i got 40.35. will they reconsider or there is nothing that can be done and should i just be happy that i am 36th rank
